From our corner of the Peace Country..

Hi, I’m Jenessa.

I live near Fairview in Northern Alberta’s Peace Country with my husband, two kids, 5 mini donkeys, a couple horses, a few cows to justify the horses, and the usual rotation of cats and dogs that come with country life.

Most days around here look like some combination of leather scraps on the table, the concrete crew heading to the next job, kids running around, half-finished ideas, coffee reheated three times, and me trying to convince myself I definitely do not need another hobby or business idea.

(It never works.)

Range Road 21 started in 2020 when I realized two things:

- I was spending way too much time on my phone

-I couldn’t find leather bags that felt like me

(-Also 'Vid season with nothing else to do.)

Everything was either super western or super designer-inspired, and I wanted something more everyday — functional, beautiful pieces made for regular life.

So I did what any reasonable person would do and decided to teach myself leatherwork through YouTube, Google, trial and error, and an alarming number of “if I just buy this one tool…” purchases.

It started with a leather keychain.

Then wallets.

Then bags.

Then somehow an entire business.

And honestly, that’s kind of how everything here works.

Range Road 21 has slowly become less about selling one specific thing and more about inviting people into the life we’re building out here.

The leather goods are still at the heart of it — handmade pieces designed to be used hard and loved for years. The kind of leather that gets better with grocery runs, road trips, coffee stains, receipts stuffed in pockets, and everyday wear.

But over time, other pieces of my life started finding their way in too.

Like Squirrel Mail — my monthly snail mail subscription for people who also feel a little overwhelmed by how fast and online the world has become. A slow-down club disguised as happy mail.

Or our beef — raised out here in the Peace Country alongside the chaos, the kids, and the mini donkeys.

Or the bright high-visibility kids gear that started because I wanted my kids to be easier to spot out in the yard when the concrete crew came back.

At the core of all of it is the same idea:

I want to make things that feel useful, honest, thoughtful, and connected to real life.

Less perfectly curated internet.

More tangible, everyday magic.

.
So whether you’re here for leather bags, surprise mail, freezer beef, high-vis kid gear, or just because you also have a squirrel brain and too many ideas — I’m really glad you found your way here.

Thanks for being part of it.
